Long Beach, California -- Jan 22, 2006 --
The Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s. was founded to provide opportunity, support, and connections to increase nursing opportunities for persons from underrepresented communities. The group will host an open advisory meeting on March 3 and 4, 2006 in Long Beach, California. All interested persons are invited to attend either of the meetings and offer comments. The group is particularly interested in hearing from community based leaders in church and other faith-based "Nurses Circles," organizations interested in the profession of nursing and underrepresented communities; funding organizations, legal advisors, nursing faculty, admissions officers and counselors, principals and teachers in K-12, students, and others. Other advisory meetings will be hosted throughout Southern California in 2006. These meetings will be facilitated by Dr. Gloria Willingham (Toure') PhD, RN, founder of The Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s. Please email NHSD99@aol.com to register to attend. Visit the website at http://www.regainingstrength.com for additional information.
