Introducing Tyler Newton

The Village P.ro.j.e.c.t.s applauds Tyler Newton, a student at Mayfair Middle School, Bellflower, CA. for her assistance with organizing the project files this summer. Tyler is an "A" student in her school, very active in her church, in her community and in extra curricula activities in her school. So, when summer arrived she found that her junior lifeguard classes just wasn't enough to occupy her time. So when she had the opportunity to assist with organizing the files in the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s, she was very excited. She has demonstrated an eagerness to learn and a natural talent to communicate with persons at all levels, and to organize office files. When asked about her experience in the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s, Tyler said: "I have learned so much, and this has been so much fun." Tyler plans to attend college when she graduates from high school. She was recently invited to serve as one of the youth advisors in the Village P.r.oj.e.c.t.s to assist with the selection of T-shirt and other promotional patterns that may be of interest to young people. Dr. Willingham-Toure', founder of the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s says "Tyler brings a new perspective to the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s and also reminds us that young people have priorities that are sometimes not the same as ours. She is very bright and we intend to invite other young people to hear her story in the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s." Tyler is shown here at the "intern" desk at The Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s

“Our solutions are bigger than any one profession or job. We must reclaim our interconnections and learn to freely share information with each other, and to support the success of a new generation. We must create connections and collaborations. Our goal must be to move this system in the direction of caring what happens to persons who need it the most, and we must take our place in that effort. We will find a way to make a difference!"
