Crowne Plaza Resort, Garden Grove, CA. -- Mar 28, 2006 -- An informative free breakfast conference celebrating survivorship and the importance of breast health education through culturally diverse education, food, and fun took place on  Saturday, March 11, 2006 from 9a- 3p at the Crown Plaza Resort, 12021 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, California. The conference was presented by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Orange County Affiliate in association with community partners and supporters. Dr. Gloria Willlingham PhD, RN, Founder of The Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s. (http://www.regainingstrength.com) ,  facilitated a session on Breast Cancer in the African-American Community. She was introduced by Ernesta Wright, Director, The G.r.e.e.n. Foundation (http://www.thegreen foundation.net  and conference moderator. . Community partners/supporters included the Alianza Indigena, American Cancer Society, American Healing Center, Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center, Breast Cancer Survivors, Food and Drug Administration, Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Hoag Cancer Center, Mission Hospital Breast Center, National Council of Negro Women, Orange County Cancer Detection Partnership, Orange County Korean American Health Information and Education Center, Pacific Islander Health Partnership, St. Joseph Breast Center, The Center Orange County, The G.R.E.E.N.
