Thank you for the good interventions you are doing in the villages through all possible projects. I have been able to have a look at the web sites and read through most articles. Thank you for the work you are doing.

As Dr. Gloria Willingham said "Our problems are bigger than any one profession or job......." yes! surely, we need to work together as a team.

I am best in the village and would like to ask you for any form of available opportunities to help our villages in Africa get a way to make a difference.

I have stayed in the village until... because that is where I belong. I got to learn the computer when we got an open source center at Bugodi _ Waitambogwe Mayuge District http://www.brosdi.or.ug. I walked 3-4 miles every day to go and learn the computer.

I thank God that i have now learned typing. I have passion for the village and I now know that even villagers can also improve their lives and support the success of the in- coming generation. most people down here live in abject poverty, and through Google search, I came across your web site. I write in request for any form of support or advice for us......we have ideas to do pig farming since we are based in the rural villages of Uganda. Thank you God bless

I'm glad to hear you have a lot of volunteers to assist you in this important work that you're doing for your community. I am certainly willing to help out wherever needed after the event. I am eager to join in and lend a hand.

Congratulations on your and your fellow Planning Committee Member's outstanding success: that you now have ever more exceptional, high energy, committed participants, more possible grants, more approaches to the issue of health and educational disparities and the joy of knowing the Strategizing Conference was an all-round outstanding success!!!

I admire your effort and contribution toward improving the health status of African Americans and African Diaspora Immigrants. It really takes a village to raise a child -- by the same reasoning it will take all the efforts to improve the health status of the people in the stated population as well as do away with health disparities between them and other ethnic groups in America. So every piece of our contributions is important for achieving the objectives.

The work that you are doing is really amazing, inspiring and so essential. I think about how superficial and material our lifestyles have become and how it is costing us in terms o f individual and collective health, wellness and other real quality of life indicators. I'm gald that those who attend the conference will have access to valuable resources and I salute you for this and all the other Village Projects.

I just spent about an hour on your website and I was moved and pleasantly surprised! I had no idea you had sure a great mentoring program and catered so much to people that need help but just don't know where to go. I will like to volunteer for your program and share my limited but I think useful information and experience. I have been nurse for four years and the last two years I have been in the ICU and clinical education. But more importantly I got my education with limited resources and I willl love to mentor someone or a couple of people that are in a similar position I was in eight years ago.If you need my professional portfolio I will be happy to e-mail it to you. Thank you for your time. Fatmata Jalloh RN, BSN, PHN. =

I just learned about your upcoming health strategy conference "Building Communities: Empowering for Health," that you are hosting at the California Endowment Conference Center there in Los Angeles. I wish that I could be there as it sounds very exciting and definitely something that is needed. I have emailed the village projects and asked to be placed on your mailing list...as I really like what you all are doing. We can all make a difference if we put our heads together. Keep up the good work.

I am a volunteer from Nairobi Kenya and our Organisation is known as Voluntary Counselors Kenya that caters for the less fortunate communities by creating village projects within Kenya, helping the orphans, people living with disabilities, the youths and women.

I indeed was marveled to learn about you and what you do and want to connect with you.

Our organisation has volunterred to make this world a better place to live in and we want to be associated with people who care about needy communities like your reputable organisation.

We thank you very much for what you are doing and look forward to a positive response. We want to be village mentors, how do we go about it please?.

We are always looking for speakers who can motivate those of us who want to make a difference in African-American health and education. I was very impressed with the story of your founder, and now that I have personally met some of the community advisors and volunteers connected with the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s, I will surely be contacting you for more information re: speakers for next year... Keep up the good work!

I heard Dr. Carol Parker-Terhune speaking on behalf of her volunteer work with the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s. at a recent conference in Las Vegas. She spoke to us about the importance of being able to clearly identify needs in the community, and to devise plans that will make a measureable difference in those communities. This was very motivating to me. I contacted the Village P.r.o.j.e.c.t.s offices and learned that you are planning a very stimulating workshop series to start in 2008 in various communities. Please keep me posted.
